Paul reminds Timothy that the imposition of hands on another

is not to be taken lightly.

1 Timothy 5:22

Do not lay hands too readily on anyone, and do not

share in another's sins.

Paul himself was ordered or ordained by the leaders of the

Church at Antioch.

Acts 13:2-3

While they were worshipping the

Lord and fasting, the holy Spirit said,

"Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul

for the work to which I have called

them." Then, completing their fasting

and prayer, they laid hands

on them and sent them off.
