Vatican Council II, 1962-65, Lumen Gentium, 57
This union of the Mother with the Son in the work of
salvation is evident
from the time of the virginal conception of Christ even
to His death... [and]
when the Mother of
God brought forth her firstborn, who did not
diminish but
consecrated her virginal integrity.
Lateran Council, Pope Martin I (649)
Canon 3 If anyone does not properly and truly
confess in accord with the
holy Fathers, that the holy Mother of God and ever Virgin and
Immaculate Mary in the earliest of ages conceived of the Holy Spirit
without seed, namely God the Word Himself specifically
and truly, who
was born of God the Father before all ages, and that she incorruptibly
bore Him, her
virginity remaining indestructible even after His birth,
let him be condemned.
